About Levine Equine Services

Levine Equine Services was founded by sisters Ashley "Levine" Clayton and Kelley "Levine" Lozada. Our lifelong bond extends beyond family to a shared dedication to horses and their care. Growing up around horses and working hands-on with them shaped the way we approach grooming today - with patience, respect, and a strong understanding of equine behavior. As a sister owned and operated business, we work side by side, bringing complementary skills, attention to detail, and a unified standard of care to every horse we handle. Our close partnership allows us to provide consistent, reliable service built on trust and communication.

We offer full service body clipping, mane trimming and MagnaWave in Western North Carolina, with services coming soon to Upstate South Carolina. Whether preparing for a show season or maintaining everyday comfort and overall wellness, we take the time to do the job right so your horse can look and feel their best!

Levine Equine Services was inspired by a horse who meant everything to us and was part of our family for 20 years. Jester was a breathtaking warmblood cross with a flowing mane, a stunning tail, and a presence that simply couldn't be ignored. He was always impeccably turned out, beautifully kept, and carried himself with confidence and elegance. He taught us that presentation matters. That care matters. That the smallest details can make the biggest impact. His face now sits at the center of our logo as a tribute to the horse who shaped our standards and our hearts. Though he is no longer with us, his legacy lives on in every mane pulled, every body clip perfected, and every horse we support from coat to care.

Mission

As horse owners and professionals ourselves, we understand that every horse is different. That's why we focus on calm handling, clean equipment, and thoughtful techniques that minimizes stress and ensure a positive experience. Our approach is rooted in experience, education, and a genuine love for what we do!

What We Offer

Body Clipping

We provide full body clips for both horses and ponies. Custom clips are available upon request. Horses must be bathed and dry prior to clipping. Owners are responsible for providing sedation if needed. A $50 surcharge fee will be applied to dirty, difficult or nervous horses.

Mane pulling or trimming can be done to thin and shorten the mane to create an even, polished length.

MagnaWave

MagnaWave is a brand of PEMF, Pulsed Electromagnetic Fields, therapy used for overall wellness and pain management in both horses and humans. This non-invasive approach works by sending electromagnetic pulses through the body to help improve blood circulation, reduce inflammation, accelerate healing, muscle recovery and overall wellness. Ashley is a Certified MagnaWave Practitioner currently working on horses of all disciplines.

Meet The Team

Ashley Levine Clayton

Ashley has been immersed in the equestrian world since the age of 12, competing from local schooling shows to rated shows in the hunters, jumpers and equitation. Throughout her equestrian journey she has participated in numerous riding clinics, worked at several barns and rode for her college equestrian team.

She is currently a Certified Horsemanship Association (CHA) professional, and has spent the last 3 summers working at Camp Pinewood in Hendersonville, NC supervising their riding program.

When she's not at the barn with her mount Flynn, Ashley enjoys home projects and spending time with her husband and daughter.

Kelley Levine Lozada

Kelley's passion for horses began at a young age and quickly developed into a lifelong commitment to the sport. She trained under respected hunter-jumper professional Geoff Teall from 2007 to 2010, where she developed her skills in the show ring while also working as a working student. After time away, she returned to riding as an adult, embracing it with a new appreciation for the sport.

Kelley's riding career includes notable accomplishments such as winning the inaugural Meghan Morency Challenge, placing 5th in the Taylor Harris Insurance Medal Final at Capital Challenge, and qualifying for prestigious finals including Maclay Regionals, USEF Hunt Seat Medal Finals, and the George Morris Excellence in Equitation classes at the Winter Equestrian Festival.

Now a proud mother to her son, Kelley enjoys spending her spare time riding her semi-retired horse, Prince.
